RUNNING WITH THE JONAS BROTHERS
Nick started his career in the music industry as a solo artist in 2004. His first disc was released in 2004 in a limited edition under the wings of Columbia Records, but after this release, the label decided to postpone and then cancel the official release of his album. Although the head of the record label liked Nick’s voice, he was unable to launch his solo career. Later, Steve Greenberg offered to sign him and his two brothers (Joe and Kevin) as a band, thus the Sons of Jonas brother band was born, whose name was later renamed the Jonas Brothers.
Their first LP was released in 2006 under the title It’s About Time. The disc’s first single was a song called Mandy, which appeared not only on their debut album, but also on the Zoey 101: Music Mix disc. The song debuted at number two on the UK charts and was certified platinum with over 290,000 copies sold, and was also included on the boys’ second LP.
A year later, in 2007, the breakthrough came for them, when they released their second album entitled Jonas Brothers. The disc included such successful songs as Hold On, SOS and When You Look Me in the Eyes, and the Jonas Bonus version included a joint song with Hannah Montana, We Got the Party. SOS, which was written exclusively by Nick, was originally intended for his solo album, but they also owe their international success and recognition to this song.
