Liam Payne EARLY YEARS (1993 – 2010)

Liam James Payne was born on August 29, 1993 in a small town in England, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, United Kingdom. His mother is Karen (nurse, receptionist) and his father is Geoff Payne (aircraft mechanic), and he has two sisters, Ruth and Nicola Payne. Since he was a premature baby, he had to be checked up many times. This lasted until he was four years old, when his kidney disease was discovered, which has since been cured. He started singing when he was 6 years old. At the age of 12, he took boxing lessons because he was also a victim of bullying at school: Payne had no friends. No one went to his 10th birthday, which, according to the singer, affected him for a long time.

After The X-Factor, One Direction was unstoppable. Their third place was immediately followed by a contract with Simon Cowell’s label, Sycó, and Modest Management! took care of their careers. They have released five chart-topping, globally acclaimed and beloved albums: Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), Four (2014) and Made in the AM (2015). One Direction broke the 58-year-old record on the Billboard Hot 200: they became the only boy band in world history to have all five of their albums debut at number one.
