How to Port Your Mobile Number
The number transfer process involves sending a message from your device and within 10 minutes you will receive a unique UPC code. After that, share your unique UPC code with the new operator and go through the KYC process to get a new SIM card.
Here’s how you can:
Text: Port <space> <10 digit mobile phone number> Central Portability TRAI Number, which is 1900.
You will receive a UPC code and it will be valid for four days. Then visit your nearest new carrier store to complete the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF), Transfer Form and provide a valid UPC.
Also, note that your number will be down for around 2-3 hours during the actual process. Sometimes the new service provider may charge a small fee to complete the process. As soon as the number is ported, you will have instant access to all the new services, features and offers.

How to Check MNP Status Online
To check your MNP (Mobile Number Portability) status, visit Mi Port Status (Zone 1 State) or find out your portability status (Zone 2 State). Enter your mobile phone number and UPC code in the relevant field. Finally, click on “Check MNP Status” to check your transfer status online for free.
