Demetria Devonne Lovato Biography

EARLY YEARS (1992-2006)

Demetria was born Devonne Lovato on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His father is an engineer and musician, Patrick Martin Lovato (June 22, 1960-2013 †), and his mother is a former dancer and country singer, Dianna De La Garza. The rider has an older brother, Dallas, and a younger half-sister, Madison De La Garza. In 2012, it was revealed that the singer had an older half-sister from the paternal branch, Amber, whom she had only seen for the first time at the age of 20.

The rider had a distinctive smile since he was a child

Lovato’s parents divorced in the summer of 1994, when she was two years old. His father is Mexican, but he also had Portuguese and Jewish ancestry, while his mother boasted English, Irish, and Italian relatives. In February 2017, he did a DNA test, which revealed that in addition to Spanish and American genes, Scandinavian, Irish, British and African blood was also trickling in his veins. He didn’t really keep in touch with his father: they first saw each other again in 2008.

Selena Gomez Biography, Net Worth, Age, Boyfriend, Family & More

Demi grew up in Dallas. He also won several talent scouts here, so it soon turned out he had an extremely good ability.
He began his studies at the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District and then went on to Cross Timbers Middle School, where he attended a music class for three years. That’s when music started to get more preoccupied with me. Just like today, Demi’s schoolboy had a high rate of school harassment. The young girl was ridiculed very much, so her parents were forced to educate their daughter as a private student. In 2011, he revealed that he had “had an unhealthy relationship with lives” since he was 8 years old, which can be traced back to abuse, among other things: several called him obese and ugly.

Demit has been attracted to the stage since he was very young. He went to acting classes, balleted, and tried his luck at auditions. At the age of 5, when he could not yet read or write, he applied to listen to a children’s show called Barney & Friends. His mother helped him by drawing tiny chopsticks on the edge of the paper, trying to hide this flaw. But despite great efforts, the role did not come together. Two years later, in 2002, when he had reached school age, he tried again, as he had not given up on his dreams. After a long wait and a lot of disappointment, she got the role of Angela. Demi was a member of the crew for two seasons and then took continuous singing, acting, dancing and piano lessons to develop her talent.
After Barney, their talent was noticed, they were given more or less roles in series, such as e.g. In 2006, the Escape, or Just Jordan.

CAMP ROCK & DON’T FORGET (2007-2008)

He started working for Disney Channel in 2007. She first starred in a short series, As the Bell Rings, like Charlette Adams, and was able to sing here as well. At Disney, by the way, there were several rejections about roles, and then one night they called the actress herself to think of her at Rock Camp, and a new series, Sonny, the star candidate, was about to launch.

Demi and Joe Jonas began their careers in 2007

Lovato starred in both productions, so he could embark on a bumpy road to fame and notoriety.
Rock Camp was unveiled on June 20, 2008 and was watched by about 8.9 million spectators. The soundtrack came out three days earlier, but its success was overshadowed by High School Musical. Lovato has received mixed reviews from Entertainment Weekly, criticizing his smile, among other things. Nevertheless, the film was a huge success worldwide and Lovató had developed its own fan base.

This summer, he launched his first own tour, which is Demi Live! It was named the Warm-Up Tour but also appeared on the Jonas Brothers Burnin ‘Up Tour.

Despite the success of HSM, the soundtrack has successfully sold one million copies in the U.S., so Demi signed to Hollywood Records and then released his first solo album in the fall of 2008, called Don’t Forget. The record received positive reviews among students, but Entertainment Weekly still said it won’t gain adult recognition with it.

He was assisted in writing the songs on the disc by his film comrades, Jonas Brothers, and has a joint song on it. It made its second debut on the Billboard Hot 200 list with 89,000 sales.

Don’t Forget received a gold rating from the RIAA after reaching half a million sales. The lead single, Get Back, was a real pop-rock song and became 43rd on the Hot 100 list, selling over 560,000 songs in the US. The second single, La La Land, sounded much rockier, making its debut as 52nd, yet it was loved by young people around the world. The third single on the album was Don’t Forget.

In 2008, rumors that Lovato was hurting herself (her wrist was wounded at several events) got her wings for the first time. Demi called the news ridiculous and said only the fashionable rubber bracelets at the time had hit her hand.

SONNY, THE STAR CANDIDATE & HERE WE GO AGAIN (2009-2010)

In 2009, Lovato participated in a Disney charity program and with their friends there, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez, they recorded the Send It On single, all of whose proceeds supported Disney foundations worldwide.

She made her first starring debut in the same year, Sonny, the star candidate in which she played the emerging actress Sonny Munroe. The series received two seasons and was the first production aired on Disney HD. The Los Angeles Times called Lovato’s acting skills very good.

In June, he shot his new film, The Princess Defense Program, in which he formed a royal family who fled his homeland, starring his then best friend Selena Gomez. It’s one of Disney’s most successful films, with about 8.9 million viewers on its first screening in the States.

In September, thanks to the huge interest, Rock Camp 2 – Closing Party was filmed, which garnered 8 million views. A film music disc has also appeared for this film. He was honored in 2010 to play a part in the hugely successful accident series, The Grace Clinic, where he played Hayley May. He also won an award at the People’s Choice Awards for his portrayal.

Sonny, the star candidate on the set in 2008

Lovato’s second album was titled Here We Go Again and was released on July 21, 2009. It recorded a much more acoustic sound here, compared to John Mayer. Criticisms were pretty divisive, with many preferring the For-rock pop-rock sound of Forget. Nevertheless, the album became No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 list, with sales of about 108,000. He began his Summer tour before appearing.

The album’s first single was Here We Go Again, but it only finished 59th on the Hot 100 in the first week and then battled it out to 15th. His second and final single was Remember December.

His first real tour was with Here We Go Again, as he gave shows in forty cities nationwide. They set off on June 21 and ended on August 21. Speakers like David Archuleta, KSM and Jordan Pruitt are open to him. Lovato and Joe Jonas recorded a charity song in March 2010 called Make a Wave, and this could also be done as part of Disney’s Friends for Change.

After that, Jonas Brothers toured and toured North America with Live in Concert, making it his first international trip.

Rock Camp Part 2 premiered on Sept. 3, but fans felt the story was mixed: only about 40% satisfaction with the film. Nevertheless, about 8 million people followed the events on their debut evening. The soundtrack debuted as No3 on the Billboard Hot 200.

He exited his series in 2010, with which he began to take a break from his acting career for personal and personal reasons.

UNBROKEN & X-FACTOR (2011-2012)

Horseback turned out to have had several mental problems with Sonny during the shooting of the star candidate, and eventually, the rumors turned out to be true, he really abused himself as well as had eating disorders. Several scandals surrounded the singer around this time: she attacked her personal assistant before a show, and several intimate photos came to light. Demi went to rehab during the break, which hit the world a lot.

After the emotional crisis, the singer returned with a new look and a new label: from Hollywood Records to Iceland. Demi looked much healthier on the photo series of her third album and was also gaining a few pounds. His major album was called Unbroken and was released on September 20, 2011. The album featured R&B and pop-rock elements. He was clearly the most successful record of his career at the time, bringing him international hits.

He returned with renewed vigor: Demi Lovato has been unbroken since 2012

He made his No. 4 debut on the Hot 200 list with sales of 97,000, but that number soon exceeded half a million, earning a gold rating.

2012 was the first year he was completely sober and not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
The song’s first single was Skyscraper, which showcased Lovato’s struggles and carried a universal message of acceptance. It was ranked 10th on the Billboard Hot 100 list, but had already run out of 176,000 in the first week. Plenty of celebrities supported the renewed Horse and his message. With the song, he also won his first VMA in the Best Message category.

Unbroken brought personal songs like For the Love of a Daughter (which was about his father) and Unbroken. Lovato spoke here for the first time about his father and their problems. There have also been several collaborations on it: Missy Elliott, Timbald, Dev and Jason Derülo, among others.

The album’s second and final single was Give Your Heart a Break, which almost surpassed Skyscraper’s success. The song received a triple platinum rating from the RIAA in October 2014.

In May, after a long hiatus, he was on the screen again: he became a jury in the second season of American X-Factor alongside Simon Cowell, Britney Spears and LA Reid. Lovato mentored the Young Adult category here.

On December 24, 2012, he released a video on his own YouTube channel in which he sang Angels Amon Us and sent it to the victims who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook school shooting.

In March 2013, it was confirmed that he would return to the third season of X-Factor as well, and his salary was reportedly doubled.

DEMI & GLEE (2013-2014)

The singer started working on her new album in 2012, the first song of which was promised for December. However, its debut was postponed until March of the new year. Heart Attack became one of Lovato’s most successful songs and was on the Top 10 list for weeks.

The album was dubbed Demi and was released on May 10, 2013, with a much more popping sound than before. He received a generally positive review, and The New York Times saw Lovato’s transformation as positive and entertaining.

Although there are quite a few chewing gum pops on the disc, the personal songs aren’t left out either: it’s worth checking out the lyrics for Warrior, In Case, Shouldn’t Come Back, and Nightingale.

It ran out of 110,000 in the first week, making it the best-selling record of Lovato’s career, and later winning a gold rating with it. On June 11, an e-book, Demi, was released on iBookson.

His second single was Made in the USA, but he only made his 80th debut on the Hot 100. Demi’s third single was Neon Lights, which was an international success, as was Heart Attack.

The fourth single was Really Don’t Care, which also featured British singer Cher Lloyd (her only collaboration on the album). The video supported the LGBT community.

It has been announced that Adam Lambert will be starring in the fifth season of Glee. The singer only appeared in three episodes, while Lambert appeared in five. Lovato played the love of Sanatana Lopez (Naya Rivera) as Dani, an emerging and struggling singer in New York.

His first real book, Demi Lovato: Be Strong – 365 Days – was published on November 19th and was published worldwide. The book became a New York Times bestseller. In the book, we get inspiring quotes and advice from Lovató for every day of the year.

Back in the year, he returned to the screens and sat in the mentoring chair again at the American X-Factor. During the season, Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio and Simon Cowell judged the emerging singers. However, he no longer participated in the fourth season of X-Factor.

He collaborated on the song The Vamps Sobebody to You and then on May 29 announced his fourth tour, which became his first tour around the world, the Demi World Tour. He toured first in North America and then in the UK and Europe. Also in November of this year, she was the keynote speaker on Enrique Iglesias – Sex and Love tour.

The reception of Confident was also positive by critics and students as well. Lovato revealed that he really wanted to get a Grammy nomination with him and show him what his voice was capable of. “I started recording during the tour because the plan came to mind. Sound is what I am now and everything I want to be, ”he said. “I’m never as confident as I am as an artist, so with this record, I want to radiate self-confidence, and not only towards personal things but also about my sound. I want to show people that I can do it. ”
