Candice Rene Accola was born in Houston, Texas. He also has English, Romanian-Swiss, French and Norwegian ancestry. His mother, Carolyn (née Clark), was an environmental engineer before becoming a homemaker, and his father, Kevin Accola, a cardiovascular surgeon. He has a younger brother, Kree Thomas Accola. He grew up in Edgewood, Florida and attended Lake Highland Preparatory School. Both of his parents are active members of the local Republican Party.
