Bridgit Claire Mendler was born on December 18, 1992 in the US capital, Washington, as the first child of Sandra Ford-Mendler and Harry Mendler. He has a younger brother named Nicholas. He has German, English, Scottish, French and Irish ancestry.
When he was eight years old, he and his family moved to Mill Valley, California. It was then that he became interested in acting and performed in several theater plays, becoming the youngest performer at the San Francisco Fringe Festival. He was eleven when they found him an agent.

2004–2008: Started career
In 2004, she got her first role in an animated Indian film, The Legend of Buddha, in which she provided the voice of Lucy. At the age of thirteen, he guest-starred in an episode of General Hospital. In 2007, she played the role of Pamela in the comedy Alice Upside Down. A year later, he shaped Kristen Gregory in the Doll Club. The film is based on Lisi Harrison’s book The Click.
2009–2012: Good Luck Charlie! and Lemonade
