Ashley Leggat was born on September 26, 1986 in Canada. Her mother is of Scottish and Irish descent, and Ashley has four siblings, Rob, Brett, Todd and Bram.
She studied at Theater Aquarius’s Performing Arts Program, and then made her debut as Marta in the theater performance The Voice of Music.
Later, he played a role in the productions Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Cinderella, Anne of Green Gables and Jekyll and Hyde.
In 1999, she got her first television role in the series Real Kids, Real Adventures, then she was seen as Stacey in I Was a Sixth Grade Alien.
In 2001, she got her first film role, in the drama What Girls Need to Know, and in 2004, she appeared alongside Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox in the Sara Sugarman comedy Notes of a Hysteric.
In the following years, he appeared in the series Lightning, the superhero, Darcy’s Wild Life and 11 Cameras.
In 2005, he got the role of Casey MacDonald in the family comedy series Derek the Kid, playing the role of Casey until the end of the series in 2009. In 2010, the film version of the series was completed under the title Derek is on vacation.
In 2009, he appeared alongside Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Josh Henderson in the comedy I’m a Jerk.

In 2013, he appeared in two films, Perfect Boss and Good Witch’s Destiny. The following year, she played Tara in the family film The Good Witch’s Miracle opposite Catherine Bell and Chris Potter.
