Jessica Marie Alba was born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona to Catherine Louisa and Mark David Alba. He has a younger brother, Joshua. His father worked for the Bolivian Air Force and was later transferred to the Del Rio company, so the family moved to Texas.
When Jessica was 9, they moved on to California because her father was posted to the Air Force in Claremont. He got sick a lot in his childhood. Because he spent a lot of time in the hospital, he didn’t have many friends at school. He is asthmatic and admitted in an interview that he also had OCD as a child. He graduated from Claremont High School at the age of 16, and then studied at the Atlantic Theater Company with William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman.
