Caleb McLaughlin was born on October 13, 2001 in Carmel, New York, USA. He attended Kent General School, and then George Fischer Middle School for one year. After fifth grade, Caleb moved to New York City with his family. She studied dance for one year at the Happy Feet Dance School in Carmel and then continued her studies at The Harlem School of the Arts.

He started his career on the Broadway stage in 2012 in the musical The Lion King, where he played young Simba until 2014. In 2012, he also appeared in the short film Noah Dreams of Origami Fortunes, where he played the title character, Noah. In 2013, he appeared for a part in the Special Case Department, and in 2014, we also saw him for a part in the series Unforgettable and Mindörökké.
In 2016, he played the role of Jay-Jay in 3 episodes of the series Shades of Blue and also appeared in a part of the series Blue Bloods. Also this year, he got the role of Lucas Sinclair in the worldwide famous Netflix series, Stranger Things, which brought him his breakthrough.
