Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has also given information about the nutrients of millet raab in its tweet. One glass of millet raab contains 232 grams of energy, 5.5 grams of protein, 26.5 grams of carbohydrates and 11.5 grams of fat.
Bajra Raab Recipe
Making millet raab is very easy. For this you will need some special things present in the kitchen.
Ingredients List
- Bajra flour- 4 tbsp
- Jaggery or powdered jaggery – 1 tablespoon
- Celery- 1 tablespoon
- Ghee- 2 tbsp
- Dry ginger powder- 1 tsp
- Water- 2 cups
- Dry fruits- 1 tbsp
method of making
- First of all, heat ghee in a big vessel and add carom seeds to it and fry it well.
- When the celery is roasted properly in ghee, then add millet flour to it and cook.
- After this add jaggery, salt, ginger powder and water in the mixture.
- Now you have to cook this mixture properly. While cooking the millet mixture, make sure that there are no lumps in it.
- After it comes to a boil, cook the millet mixture for 5 minutes.
- Your millet raab is ready for consumption.
- Now pour the millet raab in a serving glass and serve with chopped dry fruits.
